Institute of Technology of Cambodia

The Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) is a renowned engineering institution in Cambodia, located in the heart of Phnom Penh, the capital city. The campus is situated approximately 5 kilometers from the Royal Palace and 15 kilometers from Phnom Penh International Airport. The conference will be held in the Building A of ITC, the original structure constructed during the institute's inauguration in 1964. The building was designed in line with the principles of New Khmer Architecture, a style that harmonizes modernist aesthetics with Cambodia's tropical climate. Its architectural design, which incorporates natural ventilation and passive cooling techniques, allows the building to endure the country's harsh tropical conditions without the need for air conditioning — making it one of the few remaining buildings in Phnom Penh that exemplifies both architectural ingenuity and environmental sustainability.
Phnom Penh serves as the capital of architecture, economy, culture, and technology in Cambodia, offering a rich blend of historic heritage sites and modern sustainable architectural landmarks. The city is home to numerous iconic buildings, some of which will be featured during the city tour, providing participants with an immersive experience of Phnom Penh's architectural and cultural diversity.
